“The Youth Red Cross” is a constituent of the Indian Red Cross Society (Karnataka), a group movement organized at the initial stages for students between 18 to 25 years of age. The hope of every nation in the world is its young people. We, in our institution, prepare our students to be caring citizens so that they have an opportunity to touch the lives of the needy and the helpless.
Anti-Ragging Cell
Montfort College is a ragging free campus. Ragging is strictly forbidden on campus and any grievances related to ragging will be strictly dealt with immediate action. The Anti-Ragging Cell ensures safety for students by taking stringent action against anyone who is found guilty of ragging. The cell conducts an orientation programme for all the students to create awareness about ragging and to be cautious about the legal aspects.
Montfort College is committed to maintaining a workplace free from sexual harassment. Prevention, prohibition and redressal of sexual harassment of women employees and students are ensured by the Cell through actions taken against any forms of harassment within campus.
Human Rights and Social Justice & Equal Opportunity Cell
Montfort College strives to create awareness on Human Rights and everyone’s rights are respected, protected, and promoted on campus through the elimination of all forms of racial, caste and gender based discrimination. It also seeks to promote equality of opportunity among students and faculty of different ethnic, cultural, religious, gender and social groups.
Montfort College follows a strict anti-discrimination policy. The Caste-Based Discrimination Prevention Cell is formed to monitor and prevent any sort of discrimination against SC/ ST/ OBC students, teachers and non-teaching staff on the grounds of their caste or ethnicity. The cell is also responsible for sensitizing faculty, administration staff as well as non-teaching staff to ensure the prevention of discrimination on campus.
Minority Cell
The Minority Cell of the college is established with the purpose of empowering the students who belong to minority communities. The objective of the cell is to encourage minority students to actively participate in all the activities of the college and to facilitate financial support to students from minority communities from government agencies and other sources.
Examination Committee
Montfort College is authorised to conduct examinations and make policy decisions related to organising and holding examinations, developing examination systems, moderations, and so on, as well as preparing an examination schedule and announcing the results. The Examination Committee is responsible for all topics relating to examinations, including hearing complaints about any matter resulting from the conduct of examinations and deciding on a course of action.
Library Advisory Committee
Montfort College Library Committee reviews and recommends policies for the Library, with a focus on the distribution of resources among academic divisions and units. The Library Committee provides a channel of communication between the Library and the faculty, staff, and students, while also assisting in the assessment and promotion of the Library’s alignment with the needs of the College community.
