ABOUT MONTFORT COLLEGE IQAC

Montfort College, Bangalore voluntarily went for its first accreditation by The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2004, when accreditation was not mandated. This stems from Montfort College’s dedication to quality and constant improvement. In 2012, in its second cycle, Montfort College was accredited with A Grade by The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) in 2012. The College is presently preparing for the third cycle of Accreditation.

The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) proposes that every accredited Institution should establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as post-accreditation quality assurance and sustenance measure. Montfort College established the IQAC in 2004. The IQAC functions, as per the guidelines set down by NAAC to make conscious efforts to improve the quality of academics and administration. Since its inception, the IQAC has been an integral part of all college endeavours. The IQAC holds all its stakeholders i.e., students, teachers, staff, management, and parents accountable for the quality of education that the college imparts.

During this academic year, the IQAC has carried out several activities that set benchmarks for quality assurance during the pandemic including blended learning pedagogies and teacher training for quality of online methodologies. The annual report documenting all the college activities showcases all the activities of the IQAC. In addition, the IQAC has carried out 6 meetings during the academic year and has been working diligently towards the Self-Study Report for the 3 rd cycle. The IQAC successfully submitted the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) for the previous academic year and will submit the AQAR for the current year after the completion of this year.
