Welcome to Montfort College, Bangalore – a premier institution dedicated to academic excellence, personal growth, and social transformation. Established in 1995 by the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel, the college began by offering a Postgraduate Diploma in Holistic Psychological Counselling. In 1998, it became the first institution in India to offer a postgraduate degree in Counselling Psychology, and later added M.Sc. in Psychology in 2005. Today, Montfort College is affiliated with Bengaluru North University, recognised by the UGC under sections 2(f) and 12B, and reaccredited with an ‘A’ grade by NAAC`. It is also recognised as a Research Centre in Psychology and Counselling Psychology by Bengaluru North University.

As part of the Montfort College Society, founded in 1984, the college carries forward the vision of St. Louis Marie Grignion de Montfort by providing holistic, value-based education, especially to youth and marginalised communities. The Montfort Brothers, active in India since 1903, manage over 175 institutions nationwide, serving various sectors including general education, vocational training, and special education for the visually and hearing impaired.
