Sampurna Montfort Alumni

The College has an extensive Alumni Association right from its first batch of graduate students. The association aims to create a powerful network in order to facilitate the college as well as support the students and the society at large.

The Alumni Association plays a vital role to bridge the gap between academic and corporate that promote personal and career enhancement of students. It also bridges the widening gap between the former students and the institute to keep them in touch with the present growth, development and also the challenges before the institute. At the same time, its role in organising sociocultural, educational and some other kinds of events in the college premises strengthen its relation with the institute with the passing off of each day. Feedback provided by the alumni play an important role in the professional growth.

Contribution of the Alumni

The Placement Cell of Montfort College regularly invites the alumni to hold several career related webinars; for instance, in the year 2020-21, two of the webinars held in collaboration were ‘Career Opportunities for Psychology Graduates’ and ‘Pursuing PhD Abroad’.

Some members of the alumni also extend their services to the present students by providing free personnel counselling. The alumni members also maintain WhatsApp and Telegram groups to share information regarding new developments in the field, counselling referrals, workshop notifications etc. Some members visit the college and conduct workshops and also, they have professional development discussions with the students.

Montfort College conducts Children’s day – an outreach program every year thereby inviting the poor and needy kids from the orphanages, etc and our alumni students participate actively in the program and render their services. Some alumina members who were a part of the student council during their tenure at the college have contributed by means of educating the present student council on their roles and responsibilities which is pivotal in shaping and preserving a lasting relationship between the former and existing students.
